Webgrrls L.A. is the largest networking organization in Southern California for women in New Media. Our mission is to provide easy access to skill enhancement and job opportunities for any woman interested in the field.

Webgrrls L.A. is a diverse group of women from every background and skill level. You'll find web novices and seasoned professionals, students and career changers, hard-nosed coders or programmers and creative designers (to find out more about our individual members, check out our Members' Sites page!). If you're looking to network, Webgrrls L.A. is the place for you. If you're hoping to find employment or just test the waters, you'll find plenty of leads and resources.

As a proud chapter of the largest New Media women's organization in the world, Webgrrls L.A. is part of an international network with contacts ranging from Bejing to Berlin, Sydney to Singapore.

Membership in our friendly discussion lists is free. We have three active e-mail lists: one for discussion of issues relating to life and work in the Internet/Web business, one for discussions on any and all other topics, and one for job postings. All the lists are hosted at eGroups, and you can subscribe by sending blank e-mail messages to wgla-subscribe@egroups.com, for the main community, wgla-ot-subscribe@egroups.com, for the Off-Topic list, or wgla-jobs-subscribe@egroups.com, for the jobs list.

Webgrrls L.A. also holds regular Workshops in various aspects of Web Design.
